Climate change and increasing resource scarcity together with rising traffic volumes force us to develop new environmentally friendly and people-oriented mobility options. These developments represent also a significant challenge for architecture and design.

At the Architektur Galerie Berlin we present our new publications that show in different ways how this new mobility can be designed:
The two volumes “Mobility Design – Die Zukunft der Mobilität gestalten” has been published by Jovis Verlag. Volume 1 introduces over 60 groundbreaking projects from the disciplines of product design, architecture, and urban planning. Volume 2 collects research from the fields of design, architecture, urban planning, geography, social sciences, traffic planning, psychology, and communication technologies.
And our digital Mobility Design Guide is demonstration und exploration of methods of user-oriented mobility design.

These three publications originate from the research network “Infrastructure–Design–Society”, a joint project of several universities that was funded by the Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and the Arts within the framework of the research funding program LOEWE.
