In January 2019 Dominic Hofmann finished his dissertation at the TU Darmstadt—“On Promoting Environmentally-Friendly Modes of Transport by Emotionalizing Providers’ Infrastructure”—under the supervision of the Prof. Dr.-Ing. Annette Rudolph-Cleff (TU Darmstadt) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Petra Schäfer (Frankfurt UAS). The subheading clarifies the thesis focus: “Transport science analysis in light of influential design-oriented and psychological factors.” In order to answer the relevant research questions, the author first devised a quantitative survey method of his own, which is based primarily on insights garnered both from conducting interviews with experts and the latest current research.
