Curriculum Vitae

Since 2008 Martin Lanzendorf has been engaged in teaching and research as Professor of Mobility Design at the Goethe University Frankfurt. The Chair is an endowment from the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbunds [RMV; Rhine-Main Regional Transport Association] and the ivm GmbH, a company committed to promoting integrated transport and mobility management in the Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region. Martin Lanzendorf’s research interests encompass the most varied aspects of mobility in metropolitan regions, in particular changes in mobility behaviors, spatial aspects of traffic incidence, and the contribution of mobility design to more sustainable mobility development. Martin Lanzendorf gained his PhD from the Wuppertal Institute and the University of Trier. He then pursued post-doc research at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands while simultaneously holding the position of Junior Professor both at the University of Leipzig and the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research (UFZ), and that of Guest Professor at the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich.

Prof. Dr. Lanzendorf is head of the SOCIETY Research Subcluster and a member of the IDS LOEWE Research Cluster management board.
